Dr. Lubomski has over 15 years managing projects in medicine and public health including multi-center studies and evidence-based reports and guidelines. Current activities in the Quality and Safety Research Group include the AHRQ-funded projects, “Intensive Care Unit Safety Reporting System,” and “Statewide Efforts to Improve Safety in Intensive Care Units.” She was the project director for the AHRQ funded Study of Medical Testing for Cataract Surgery. She has also managed case-control and observational studies in public health ophthalmology. Prior to the her work in ophthalmology, she served as both a site coordinator and as the central study coordinator for a multi-center study (7 clinical centers in the U.S.) of treatment for low back pain and provided data management for industry-sponsored Phase II clinical trials of medications for use in back surgery. Most recently, she was project director for a number of evidence reports: the AHRQ-funded Evidence Reports on Anesthesia Management During Cataract Surgery and Surgical Treatment of Coexisting Cataract and Glaucoma, and the American College of Chest Physicians Evidence Report on Prevention of Atrial Fibrillation and/or Flutter Following Cardiopulmonary Bypass Graft Surgery.
